High environmental value label

It is an exploitation of the Côte de Beaune located in Clos Saint Philibert, within our Public Establishment of Agricultural Education.

It extends over a little over 19 hectares, between Puligny-Montrachet and Chorey Beaune. All the production of grapes is vinified in the winery of the Domaine located near the school buildings. Potential production is 950 hl. The wines are then aged in 228l oak barrels from the Beaune coopers and the cooperage school, then bottled and marketed under the label "Lycée Viticole de Beaune".

The farm has no operating subsidy and the balance of its budget is achieved through revenue from wine sales. It is therefore a real winery, serving above all to the practical training of high school students. Supervised by teachers and the Domaine's salaried staff, the students take part in the grape harvest, the vinification and all the works of the vineyard until the marketing of the wines.

parcoursdecouvertepuce_niv1Discovery trail
The estate is part of an approach of wine tourism by welcoming many groups on a thematic tour "From vine stock to The Glass". In a single geographical location close to the historic center of Beaune visitors can discover the vineyard, winemaking in Burgundy, making a barrel and learn the tasting of wines of the estate. Three different discovery courses are offered.
